Safefood Childhood Obesity Campaign

The Dental Health Foundation were pleased to have contributed to the production of a poster for the Safefood Childhood Obesity Campaign in 2014. 

The poster Is there more Sugar in this drink than you think? was produced as part of the Campaign and later updated to 'The facts about sugar in drinks' .

The Obesity Campaign, was a partnership with the HSE and Healthy Ireland Framework in the Republic of Ireland and the 'Fitter Futures for All' Implementation Plan in Northern Ireland. Its purpose - to inform parents of the negative health impacts due to excess weight in childhood,  and the implications for a child's quality of life.

Childhood Obesity Campaign went live on Monday, 22nd September 2014, and focused on, reducing treat foods, encouraging parents to say no to sweets, sugar sweetened beverages, biscuits and crisps every day. For further information in relation to the Campaign please visit the Safefood website
