The Dental Health Foundation plays a pivotal role in oral health promotion.
In the latest edition of the IDA Journal (April/May 2023) we highlight some of our newest oral health resources including our Sugar Risk Animation and our "Caring for your Child's Teeth 0-5 years of age" brochure. This new brochure was produced in partnership with Dr Evelyn Crowley, Senior Administrative Dental Surgeon and Ms Fiona McKeown, Assistant Director Public Health Nursing. It provides oral health information for all child health professionals, assisting them to teach patients about the importance of oral care and hygiene.
The Sugar Risk Animation video identifies sugar as the most important risk factor for tooth decay and promotes oral health messages with fun, colourful characters. It is ideal for use in schools and dental clinics.
