Oral Health Promotion Research Group - Conference 16th September 2011

The Oral Health Promotion Research Group - Irish Link (OHPRG-IL) will host their 8th Annual Conference on Friday, 16th September 2011 in the Ashling Hotel, Parkgate Street, Dublin. This year's conference theme is "Promoting Oral Health".
The OHPRG (IL) was launched in September 2003 by Dr Mary O Farrell as a multidisciplinary group aiming to raise the status of Oral Health Promotion in Ireland, North and South, through the dissemination of good practice on sound theoretical framework and practical research. Except for 2010 the group has held a conference every year since then.
Each year the Dental Health Foundation has been pleased to support the group by way of an Awards Bursary to facilitate Oral Health Promotion and Development within Ireland. The Bursary of €1,500 for 2011/2012 will be awarded by the OHPRG (IL) to promote the communication of current oral health promotion projects and work that is going on across Ireland. The intention is that applicants will present to the OHPRG committee a proposal detailing recent work/project in which they have been involved, in relation to oral health promotion activities. The applications will be assessed and the successful applicant/s will be asked to present their work through a 10-15 minute presentation at our conference in September.
